The most beautiful way to collect coins. Mint of Finland's traditional Proof coinage contains all Finnish coins of 2015 in proof quality, packaged in an elegant wooden box. The coinage includes all three commemorative two-euro coins released in 2015.
In addition to the special coins, the coinage includes eleven proof-quality coins: the €2 and €1 and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 cent pieces. The mintage of regular Finnish coins in 2015 was only 200,000 coins of each denomination except the ten-cent and twenty-cent coins (mintages will be confirmed later). In 2015, three commemorative two-euro coins were released as a departure from previous practice. The first of these was struck in honour of the 150th anniversary of Finland's national composer Jean Sibelius. The coin is designed by Nora Tapper.
The second commemorative coin in the series celebrates the three-decade journey of the Flag of Europe. This coin was released jointly by the Eurozone countries and is designed by Greek artist Georgios Stamatopoulos.
The third special two-euro coin pays tribute to the 150th anniversary of artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
All eleven proof-quality coins are legal tender minted by Mint of Finland.
